Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF)
file is the standard format used by many to allow people to
view documents containing text and graphics. The main
advantage of using a PDF file is that the files are generally small
in size and formatting does not change when viewed on different
computers (unlike Microsoft Word). This format can be viewed with
Adobe Acrobat software. |

Because the documents we
work with are often large in size, a compression is used to reduce the size of the
files. StuffIt is a piece of software that allows you to compress
and de-compress files. This software should only be downloaded if
you are using a Macintosh system. |

Similar to StuffIt, Winzip allows files
to be compressed and de-compressed. The standard format WinZip uses
